Angling & Snowclearing
Angling
Angling at the Port of Esbjerg is permitted on the condition that it does not impede traffic in the port or on the quays. The map below shows where angling is permitted at the Port of Esbjerg.
Snowclearing
The Port of Esbjerg’s road network is extensive. Thus, unfortunately, we are not always able to de-ice all the roads before they get slippery. Below you will find our policy regarding snow clearing and salting below.
Please drive carefully when the roads are icy.
Major roads
The Port of Esbjerg attempts to keep all major roads (i.e. roads of major importance to public and through traffic) safe and passable 24/7. This includes weekends and holidays.
Snow clearing is initiated when snowdrifts are building up or when approx. 5cm of snow has fallen.
Between 6pm and 6am, the Port of Esbjerg will only clear snow in the case of heavy snow.
Other roads
The Port of Esbjerg attempts to keep all other roads safe and passable Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm and between 7am and 1pm on Saturdays.
Please note that the Port of Esbjerg treats major roads before minor roads during periods with heavy snow and/or drifting.
Lessee responsibility for snow removal
Lessees of land at the Port of Esbjerg are responsible for ensuring that people and vehicles can move around safely on their rented premises, including access roads. We therefore kindly ask that lessees remember to clear all snow immediately after snowfall, and sprinkle sand or salt when it is icy.
