In 2020, Esbjerg maintained its position as the world's leading port for offshore wind. The port shipped more than 1 GW of offshore wind capacity, which means that the Port Esbjerg has been involved in over 51 procent of Europe's offshore wind farms.

In total, 25 GW are now installed in Europe. Port Esbjerg has been involved in more than 20 GW.

“Next year, Port Esbjerg expects the market as a whole to take a small dive into a transition period, and we expect to ship 550 MW from Esbjerg. Until it really picks up speed from 2023 onwards,” says Dennis Jul Pedersen, CEO of Port Esbjerg.
