Maersk Drilling and Port of Esbjerg enter into framework agreement for rig positioning

May 12, 2016 - Maersk Drilling and the Port of Esbjerg have entered into a framework agreement providing Maersk Drilling with the possibility of positioning a number of rigs at the Port of Esbjerg.

The main objective of the agreement is to provide Maersk Drilling with optimum positioning facilities for the company’s rigs during service and between jobs.

The Maersk Group already has a strong presence in Esbjerg, and by choosing the Port of Esbjerg as preferred hub for rig service and rig positioning Maersk Drilling will achieve synergy by placing several activities at the same location.

With the agreement the Port of Esbjerg continues its long tradition of providing flexible solutions to the industry, and the Port hopes that the agreement will contribute to creating new jobs for the companies at the Port.
