Anyone with a valid reason for accessing Port Esbjerg can request an access card (port card) through the Port Esbjerg website.
Ordering
Access cards must be ordered through the relevant web form on the Port Esbjerg website. Ordering an Access Card
A responsible contact person must be listed for each person applying for an access card. The responsible contact person must be able to confirm the applicant’s valid reason for accessing Port Esbjerg.
Access cards will be processed within 5 days of the order.
Collection
Access cards can currently be collected at the Port Administration, Hulvejen 1, 6700 Esbjerg.
Cards are issued only on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 13:00 and 14:00.
From September 2026, collection will move to the Security Access Facilitation Entrance (S.A.F.E.), located in the Annex at Hulvejen 1.
Issuance times will remain unchanged.
Important
Port Esbjerg is subject to Maritime Security (ISPS) legislation, and regular random checks of access cards are carried out.
A valid access card must, upon request, be presented together with valid Danish national photo identification or a passport and documentation of a valid employment or work relationship.
