Installation projects at Horns Rev 3 have started

During the summer, the installation of the wind turbines at Horns Rev 3 has started. The first of a total of 49 turbines was installed on Thursday 19 July. Now 15 of the wind turbines have been installed, says Vattenfall, that is constructing the farm. The installation of the rest of the turbines will continue until the end of the year, and the farm is expected to be in full operation by the first half of 2019.

The turbines are of the type Vestas V164-MHI 8.0 MW, which is the world's largest wind turbine in serial production. This is the first time these are installed in a Danish wind turbine farm, and the first turbine is expected to supply power already during the autumn.
